I'm struggling with my resolutions, but I came across something today that may help, if I can figure out how to apply it:
To change your behavior, change your environment. That's what I took away from
What Vietnam Taught Us About Breaking Bad Habits : NPR.
Don't overthink this - the changes don't have to be large. (We programmers do stuff like this all the time, just to jog the old neurons a little.)
ReplyDeleteRe-arrange your office so you face the opposite way. Go for a walk in the morning rather than evening. Take a bath rather than a shower. Cook something completely new. Write a sonnet every afternoon at 2:00.
