“For myself, I want no advantage over my fellow man, and if he is weaker than I, all the more is it my duty to help him.” —Eugene V. Debs
*brightens* Oh, you're welcome, Will! I hoped you and Emma would like it, since its wistful romanticism, gentle humor (and the dash of science fiction) reminded me of y'all.* It was a wonderful surprise to see it in your blog this morning. Thanks! :-D*The cartoon style (especially the ubiquitous drunks), though, reminds me of John Lennon, if he'd been an animator.
BTW, I was w-w-w-wrong, as the Fonz would say. Torvil's earlier feature, My Grandmother Ironed The King's Shirts was autobiographical, but The Danish Poet is fiction. My bad, but as Unsinkable Molly would tell folks "Still a damn good story!"
