  1. That explains why it's so easy for me to procrastinate in my home office. In the Bruce Springsteen poster (from the 1975 Bottom Line concert) that hangs on my office wall, he's got his back to me. I should get a new one with him looking out at me.

  2. Of course, that's also the argument they use for putting video cameras everywhere. "Really, we'll lower crime. We don't even need to put tapes in the cameras. It's that creepy feeling of being watched everywhere you go that does it. It's even better than have an actual, well-trained, police force."
