The word police think black Americans progressed by changing their group's name from African to Colored to Negro to Afro-American to People of Color as each previous name was used as an insult by racists. In reality, that was a side show. Names don't create respect. Deeds do.

Dear people who say, "Why didn't they know something was wrong?":

Good people give others the benefit of the doubt. Only people who assume guilt are not surprised when someone is guilty.
