"Forgive yourself for not knowing what you didn't know before you learned it." -Unknown

-

"Use it or lose it" is excellent advice for house-cleaning.

-

Conservatives telling socialists that we shouldn't like Bernie because he owns three homes makes as much sense as socialists telling conservatives that they shouldn't like Nikki Haley or Ben Carson because they're brown.

-

I may start referring to the identitarian left as the id-left. And I may start using neo-identitarian to refer to the people I had been calling left-identitarians.

I should sell programs to make it easier to keep up.

-

Does anyone know who coined Latinx? I'm wondering if, like Native American, it was first used by white academics.

-

When identitarians talk about "sexism 101" or "racism 101", they are acknowledging that their understanding is academic, and failing to note that what's taught at expensive schools is what benefits the rich.

-

Marxism has branched into so many schools that I am hesitant to call myself one. I call myself a socialist because it's simpler, like calling myself a democrat instead of a follower of Paine. But I'd be content to be called an Engelsist.

Song For The Luddites
by George Gordon Byron

I.
As the Liberty lads o'er the sea
Bought their freedom, and cheaply, with blood,
So we, boys, we
Will die fighting, or live free,
And down with all kings but King Ludd!

II.
When the web that we weave is complete,
And the shuttle exchanged for the sword,
We will fling the winding sheet
O'er the despot at our feet,
And dye it deep in the gore he has pour'd.

III.
Though black as his heart its hue,
Since his veins are corrupted to mud,
Yet this is the dew
Which the tree shall renew
Of Liberty, planted by Ludd!
