Things shared on Feb 28ths

We live in a time when having black friends, lovers, and employees will not defend you from accusations of racism. Bull Connor and Elijah Muhammad must be spinning in their graves.

Poor kids who manage to go to expensive private schools are not representatives of the working class. They're the newest members of the upper class.

If you want to speculate about the values of people in a post-scarcity society, look at people who inherited wealth. The main difference would be that they would have no one to feel superior to.

Just realized my definition of "not political" is very political. Probably because I think anything affecting 2 or more people is political.

My current definition of "not political" is anything that doesn't make people argue.

In Hollywood, "structural racism" means "nepotism's effect on people of color."

The problem with election years is you learn who doesn't give a damn about the poorer half of the nation.
